For the last two decades, since the creation of the first aluminum bicycle, Cannondale has been a leading manufacturer of high quality bicycles.
Before achieving such incredible growth, the company has come a long way since its inception. Then, in 1971, under the Cannondale brand, the world's first specialized bicycle trailer was launched. The company was rapidly gaining momentum, with new accessories and clothing appearing in its product line. Along with the range, the reputation grew - the company began to be respected for quality, and especially for innovation.
The name resounded around the world when the company's first touring bike was released in 1983, followed by road and mountain bikes in 1984. The guys surprised the whole cycling community by equipping their bikes with hand-crafted aluminum frames that were twice as light and stiff as traditional steel that dominated the industry in those years. The reputation has grown like wildfire thanks to the enthusiastic reviews of buyers and bicycle journalists who managed to ride new ones. Widespread in the industry skepticism about aluminum frames immediately gave way to the crowd of imitators.
The next major statement is the development of a rear wheel damping system for mountain bikes. This happened in 1991 and the result of this work can be considered a prototype of most modern rear shock absorbers. Expansion of the model range and unique developments have brought bicycles to world-class competitions. Prizes were awarded both in the discipline of mountain biking and highway.
Today it is a leader among the world's bicycle manufacturers. More than 80 different models are sold in more than 70 countries around the world. Each model & nbsp; is the result of the laborious work of engineers and designers. The main trump card, of course, is the frame. They have a lifetime warranty, and many manufacturers can boast of such promises?
